Students learn the function of bones in animals and compare and contrast adaptations in different species of marine animals. They’ll learn how those adaptations help an animal survive in a specific habitat, particularly manatees.

Students learn what manatees spend their day doing and how they can be identified. They also learn how human action can impact resources that manatees need for survival.  They will explore the data collection methods used to interpret and understand behavior patterns.
