Shark Talk

Shark Talk invites every child in the Cayman Islands to participate in an educational activity to learn about sharks and their importance to our health and ecosystem.

Every year, 1000+ school kids and teachers from private, public and homeschools watch a GHOF produced documentary at Regal Cinemas, Grand Cayman for free thanks to generous sponsorship. Students and teachers also interact with GHOF representatives and leading shark scientists through Q&A sessions following the documentary.

This educational initiative was the catalyst for Ocean Conservation Month in the Cayman Islands whereby the month of March is designated to celebrate all the wonders of the ocean and provide a platform to talk about conservation issues and solutions with the community through engaging and fun events and public discussions in partnership with other local NGOs, businesses, government departments and concerned citizens.
